devotional books & encouraGEMENT
Over the past decade, God has been pouring into my life with parables of my own experiences. Many times, it seems as if the Holy Spirit speaks to me with much southern sarcasm in his words. You know, the way we talk with family members when we are just raw with our tone and our words. At other times, it is as if the Holy Spirit comes to me with much hospitality like offering a guest in our home a glass of ice-cold sweet tea. Either way, I have been journaling the words of the Holy Spirit and it is time to put them into devotional books.
Why would I do that? Well, I am glad you asked! (insert LOL here) I am putting them into book form because I know I am not the only one who "experiences" life with all of the potholes and punches. It is my way of sharing how the Holy Spirit spoke to me when I needed it the most. Stay tuned for more updates on the release of each book!
Much Agape ev'body!
prayer closet devotional
The release of the first devotional book by the RECOVERY PASTOR is an exciting thing to watch unfold. This book was inspired by a simple request. Someone asked if I would compile my prayers in a book so she could read them. I explained that the prayers I write are not always the prayers spoken because the Holy Spirit takes over and words flow without me thinking of what to say next. But I did want to honor her request.
I took to social media and asked a simple question. What is your "go to" scripture when you need encouragement, or you are struggling or maybe you are praying over someone else? Before I knew it, almost 90 different scriptures were given to me. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to take control as I flipped back and forth in the pages writing the book, chapter and verse on each page. Slowly, I went through writing out the verses and then writing prayers.
This book has taken by through a journey of deep self-reflection as I had to revisit some old wounds, pray through so triggers and praise God for my healing journeys that left only scars to remind me that I am enough! I hope you enjoy this devotional book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Follow the link below for paperback or Kindle versions available now!
